Knotwell does not guarantee sales, income, royalties, or enforceability of user-supplied custom terms. Creators are responsible for confirming that they own or have permission to publish every asset.
Knotwell is a marketplace for digital products with a public chain. The rules below describe the non-negotiable behaviours we expect from every account, and the rules are permanent — they don’t relax during Creator Beta, and they don’t relax at general availability.
No spam
Don’t spam the marketplace, the chat surfaces, the support inbox, or creators with unsolicited offers. Bulk messaging patterns, drip-style DMs, and templated outreach to creators you don’t know all qualify.
No geo-fencing workarounds
Don’t list assets whose primary purpose is to bypass sanctions, export controls, or geo-restrictions on third-party platforms. Don’t advertise a workaround in your listing copy.
No investment-style claims
Don’t frame a creator’s chain as an investment opportunity. Don’t promise ROI, passive income, or any future return from another creator’s work. Don’t advertise your share as a tradable instrument.
No harassment
Don’t harass other creators, buyers, or support staff. Don’t publish personal information about anyone without their consent. Don’t threaten, dox, or coordinate targeted hostility against an individual.
No malware or harmful payloads
Don’t upload assets that contain malware, prompt-injection payloads intended to manipulate a buyer’s downstream system, or anything designed to harm a buyer’s device or data. Don’t upload assets that exist primarily as a delivery vehicle for such content.
Truthful listings
Be honest about what your asset is, what it does, and what the buyer is getting. Don’t list an empty shell, a placeholder, or a redirect to an off-platform sale. Don’t list the same asset under many names to game the marketplace ranking.
Enforcement
Where we can, we warn first and give you a chance to remedy. Where we can’t — fraud, illegal content, or coordinated harm — we act immediately. Serious or repeated violations can result in removal of content, suspension of features, or termination of the account.
